Praluline® perfumes the streets where our shops are located and we prefer to taste it straight out of the oven, the same day. Many of our customers do not have the patience to resist and share it as soon as they cross the threshold of the shop! Irresistible in its simplest form, it accompanies breakfast as well as snacks.
What to eat with Praluline®?
For dessert, it goes very well with fresh fruit, sorbet or ice cream, as Hugo Pralus proposed at the Lyon Streetfood festival. Some multiply the pleasures, by dipping it in their hot chocolate.
At the factory, we will remember for a long time this live broadcast in Télématin, where Loïc Ballet dipped half a Praluline in a bowl of melted chocolate before biting into it! Loïc Ballet (@loic.ballet) • Instagram photos and videos .
In Saint-Etienne, a customer told us that she serves it with strawberries in summer, a refreshing touch that some also bring with our homemade organic strawberry sorbet.
What to drink with Praluline®?
In the Roanne region, we give a festive touch to the Praluline by accompanying it with a Turbullent, the natural sparkling wine from the Sérol house. A pairing acclaimed in the Wine Show, a BBC gastronomic show (Season 2, episode 6). Throughout this mouth-watering program in the form of a very "boozy" road trip, actors Matthew Goode and James Purefoy traveled around France in search of wines to pair with each of the dishes on the final menu created by chef Stéphane Reynaud. In Lyon, wine merchant Gaetan Costecaldes suggests surprising pairings with spirits for Le Point magazine . "I really like pairing spirits and Praluline lends itself very well to this, although you can also choose a wine." , he explains.
He suggests drinking a Cros des Calades Dolmen 2022, an orange wine made in Ardèche "with aromas of candied orange that goes very well with the praline brioche without adding any extra sweetness. We are more on an agreement all in freshness. »
On the spirits side, he recommends a Mezcal, "a pairing that contrasts with the rich sides of the brioche" . Or a French malt sicil from Home Distillers made in Haute-Loire: "the pairing is very harmonious with the aroma of the brioche and the touch of confectionery brought by the pralines". When Praluline takes on a southern accent
A very gourmet neighbor of our dear Praluline in the Roanne shop windows, the Pralusienne was created for the anniversary of another famous pastry: the Tropézienne. Born in 1955, its anniversary coincides with that of our Roanne specialty. In homage to its cousin from the South of France, our pink praline brioche was filled with a vanilla mousseline cream from Madagascar. Since then, it has been found in Roanne alongside a chocolate version: our chocolate brioche filled with a chocolate mousseline cream.
Tasting notes
Well wrapped in its paper, Praluline® keeps very well, up to 4 to 5 days. It's hard to resist, but if you have half left or if you have bought several, you can freeze it, still in its packaging. To enjoy it, simply defrost your Praluline® at room temperature, then put it in an oven preheated to 140 degrees for 5 minutes and enjoy it immediately.
